Jae Anna Wu is here!!

Born: Thursday, May 25, 2006
Time: 5:21 am
Weight: 6lbs. 2oz.
Length: ~20 inches

After a very long day at the salon downtown with early contractions, my water broke as soon as I arrived home Wednesday night. We were ready with bags packed at the door - so after calling the doctor, we headed to the hospital. Once the real contractions kicked in, it wasn't long before I was oh-so-ready for that epidural. What a wonderful wonderful thing... The rest of labor was a piece of cake and it was a lot of fun being able to visit with family and just enjoy the whole process. Tim, my mom, dad, sister and sister-in-law were all with me throughout the whole labor process and birth.

When Jae Anna was born, the cord was wrapped around her neck which effected her blood supply. She came out looking extremely pale and was taken immediately to the nursery and then to the NICU where she had to stay until Sunday, May 28th. We were so happy to bring her home on Sunday. She is a perfect, healthy, beautiful baby girl. Tim has been a huge help and he's been at Jae's beckoning call... It's very cute to watch him dote over her.

Getaway to Panama City Beach

Last Friday was my last day at Delta. So we headed to Panama City to celebrate. We had a relaxing weekend at the Marriott on the Bay. It was a bit windy and cool there, but it's always nice to be near the ocean. We drove the coast through Seaside and Destin. Seaside is an absolutely beautiful little town by the sea. We also drove the other direction on the way home and stopped by Mexico beach. That's where this picture was taken. Only a few more weeks till Jae's estimated arrival. We're getting very excited to see our little girl and welcome her home.
