December 2008

Hi Everyone! January is almost over, but I didn't want to deprive anyone of a December posting! So here it goes...

Christmas was a blast! Santa came early to my house because he knew I'd be out of town on Christmas morning (Mom & Dad must have given him a heads-up). Such a nice guy, that Mr. Claus. I didn't want to blow Santa's cover, so I waited patiently in Mommy & Daddy's room the night before Christmas Eve so that he could deliver my play kitchen. I kept my eyes closed really tight until he got back up the chimney. I love the kitchen he brought me! And I kept going back to Mommy & Daddy's room to close my eyes, hoping he'd come back and drop off some more toys for me. Mommy & Daddy said Santa had other errands to run, but that he'd come again that night while I was sleeping. So I ran, ran, ran as fast as I could to my room and slammed the door. They didn't even have to tell me to go to bed. The next morning, sure enough, Santa had come during the night and left so many goodies and presents under our Christmas tree! We made yummy breakfast croissant sandwiches and then opened gifts before heading to the airport to get on an airplane and fly to Georgia. We got the last three seats on the airplane....Whew!

Once we arrived in Atlanta, we rented a car and drove to my cousins' church in Jonesboro, GA to meet them for dinner. We all went to IHOP and had a great little visit before getting back on the road and driving to Albany, GA. We arrived at Granny & Gramps' house around midnight and guess what?! I went to bed... and some time during the night, Santa came, again! We went over to my other cousins' house on Christmas day, and he had come there, too! Amazing, that Mr. Claus!

After a couple days at Granny & Gramps' house, Granny told Mommy & Daddy to get out of there and go somewhere. I think Granny knew that I needed some "Granny time"... just me, her ~ and Gramps :) I'm sure it was hard for my Mommy & Daddy to leave me for that amount of time, but I assured them I'd miss them. Mommy asked if I'd miss her and I said "yes" as I closed the garage door before the "s" in "yes". I'm sure that made her feel all warm and fuzzy.

I hope everyone had as wonderful of a Christmas as I did!!!
