~ February 2008 ~

This first picture was taken last week when I made play dough at Arts & Crafts with my playgroup. The next morning, I got to play in my dough with cookie cutters!

I’ve been a busy girl lately. Let me tell you. I started Kindermusik at Fellowship Bible Church a few weeks ago. Miss Beth, my Kindermusik teacher, has been teaching me about choo-choo trains. We sing & dance, play with music makers and have story time. I really really love story time.

This month I also went to an art studio and painted a picture on an easel. I sent my painting to my Yea-yea & Nigh-nigh. Speaking of Yea-yea & Nigh-nigh, I have a new favorite cartoon called Ni Hao, Kai-lan. It’s teaching me new words in Chinese like “hello, good-bye, grandpa, slippers, push, and thank you” just to name a few.

I’m getting very good with my manners lately. I say “please” when I want to ask for something, and I say “thank you”, too, when I can remember to say it. Sometimes I have to be reminded, though. My Mommy is thrilled since she really does not like when I scream for things.

I’m still going to MOPS at the Rogers Christian Church. I have fun there playing with other kids my age while my Mom attends the meetings. Oh! And I also get to play at the Fitness Center on the cool sliding boards and caterpillar tunnels twice a week now! It’s SO much fun. I can’t help embarrassing my Mom when she comes to pick me up from this magical place. I try so hard to hide from her and then when she puts my coat on and carries me out, I cry very loudly and fling my body around hoping I can escape back to the top of the sliding board. I haven’t made a successful escape, yet, but this just may be my week.

I have a new room at home. I don’t sleep in my new room, yet, but I have bunk beds in there!! My new bunk beds have shelves and a built in desk. I’m keeping all of my books on the bunk bed shelves and a few times a day, I’ll go in there and read all of my books. Every night, our whole family hangs out on the bunk beds and we read books. My Daddy even takes me to the top bunk. I feel like I’m on the highest mountain when I’m up there! It’s pretty awesome.

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve “done my business” in my little girl potty. I enjoy a little reading material while I sit. By my training potty, I keep two books. One is the book “A Potty For Me” and the other is the “Five Little Ladybugs” book. I like counting the ladybugs in the book. I point at each ladybug and repeat the number “two” over and over. Two is my favorite number and I enjoy saying it. If I ask for a cookie, I’d like two. A pretzel… two, please.
