The highlights of our time together were:
Ice-skating. Yes! I got to ice skate, too….with a little help from my Daddy.
An evening home with just us kids while all the grown-ups went out to a “grown-up dinner”. No one lost any fingers or toes and the house did not even burn to the ground, thanks to Ellie, Miriam and Ramsay who were in charge.
Fireworks at Pinnacle Hills. They were fab-u-lous!!
Church. It must have been a miracle how all 15 of us managed to make it to the 9:30 morning service. This is amazing since my Mom and Dad are almost always either late or end up going to the 11 am. And even at the 11am, we’re late.
Swimming with the whole family at the Jones Center. Everyone went down the big yellow slide a gazillion times except for Jax. Jax cried. You should have seen my Granny and Gramps, though! They were the coolest. Granny couldn’t slide down without squealing the whole way down and then she’d go back for more!
It was a fun-filled four days. I sure miss everyone already.
