My Granny finally came to Arkansas! We did so much together and I showed her all around my new town. She even went to music class with me. Can you believe that another little girl actually sat in MY Granny’s lap!?! I
did not like that one bit. I let her know the only way I knew how ~ I cried loudly until she had to get up. When Granny flew home to Georgia, my Mama (or as I now like to call her, my
MAAA) and I flew back with Granny to Georgia. I got to see
Gramps, Great Granddaddy, Great
Grannan, Uncle Red, Aunt Heather, and my cousins Ramsay, Mattie, and
Jax! Daddy came to Georgia the very next day looking all
Kool-Aid in a hot silver convertible. He drove me around with the top down and the wind blowing through my chocolate brown hair. I felt like
Mariah Carey in her music video, Fantasy. Only difference was that
Mariah was in a Hummer convertible and I was in a Chrysler
Sebring. Otherwise, I think I would have been mistaken as
Mariah.

Daddy,
MAAA, Patti (my baby doll) and I ran/walked/strolled in the Susan G.
Komen Race for the Cure last Saturday. Our playgroup’s team, Mommies on a Mission, placed #8 out of 220 teams for this race in monies raised. We learned that one out of eight women in the US will develop breast cancer in her lifetime and that early detection is key when it comes to treating breast cancer. Please don’t forget to make that annual appointment and practice monthly self-exams, especially since statistics report that most breast irregularities are discovered by women themselves. Now, I have a few years before I need to start this myself, but I will be reminding all my ladies to squeeze those lemons,
cantaloupes, watermelons, whatever you got!
